CAMP FACTS

Location
Camp Adventure is located on the third Burden Lake, Second Dyke Road, Sand Lake, NY. Camp telephone is (518) 674-2643.

Equipment
Each camper should bring the following items each day: swim suit; mandatory, hat (protection from the sun), baseball glove (optional), fishing gear, sneakers (mandatory) and a sweatshirt or jacket. NO FLIP FLOPS

Health Record
Each camper is required to submit a completed and signed health record which includes dates of immunization for rubella, measles, mumps, polio and tetanus and a series of Hepatitis B shots, along with a completed (signed by physician) physical exam. This is mandated by the Rensselaer County Dept. of Health, and no child will be permitted to attend camp unless a completed health record is on file.

Medicine
A camper is not allowed to have medicine in his/her possession while at camp. All medicine must be checked with the camp Health Director upon arrival, and stored in the Camp Infirmary. Written permission must be given to the Camp Director before medicine can be dispensed to camper. Original scripts are required.

Lunch
A nutritionally balanced USDA-approved lunch is provided daily, through the Rensselaer County Dept. of Unified Services. It includes a sandwich, fruit, juice and milk. A late afternoon snack of cookies and milk is also served daily.

Inclement Weather
The Camp Program is conducted at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Rensselaer County's Rensselaer Unit on rainy days. The bus will make its usual pick-ups and drop-offs.

Lost Articles
To avoid loss, it is recommended that all articles be marked with camper's name or initials. Found items are returned to and may be reclaimed at the Rensselaer Unit. The Club will not be held responsible for lost or misplaced items.
 
Daily Schedule
 

***All campers are required to bring a bathing suit and towel EVERYDAY with them to camp, along with a water bottle.

***Flip flops are not allowed to be worn at camp.

9:30am Sharp                 Bus leaves club, heading to camp

4:15pm                          Circle/Group Games & get ready for bus

***ALL campers being picked up at CAMP must do so by 4:30pm***

5:00pm                          Bus arrives at Club

 

5:30pm  ***ALL campers must be picked up from the CLUB by 5:30pm***
